Attendance Matters

Our school families are important to our success story. Help build the habit of good attendance by:

  • Set a regular bedtime and morning routine.

  • Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before.

  • Introduce your child(ren) to their teachers and classmates before school starts.

  • Develop backup plans for getting to school if something comes up. Call on a family member, a neighbor, or a friend. School bus schedules are available at upshurschools.com

  • Try to schedule non-urgent related medical appointments and extended trips when school isn’t in session.

  • If your child must stay home due to illness, ask the teacher for resources and ideas to continue learning at home.

Important School Documents

The start of a new year provides a great opportunity to update your child's information. Please know that it is the responsibility of the child's parent/guardian to update information regularly at the school. Have you submitted the required documentation?

  • An emergency procedure card for each student enrolled at our school.

  • Updated medical information (if applicable).

  • Medication with doctor's orders.

  • Court documents (if applicable).

  • Transportation Plan (if it changes frequently).

  • Acceptable Use and Student iPad Agreements
